Vaka Eiva exhibition opening Tuesday night

The fifth Vaka Eiva exhibition which opened on Tuesday night at the Art Studio in Arorangi attracted a great response with Kay and Ian George thanking everyone who has taken part. In her welcoming speech, Kay said she had been approached by so many new people who asked if they could be allowed to exhibit their painted paddles at the show. She said some were so young, they got their mothers to ask on their behalf and when they arrived, Kay and Ian were delighted with the results.
The works were so good that Kay and Ian asked where they have been hiding and have invited the young ones to submit other works to the gallery.
Kay thanked all the sponsor for their assistance over the years including Pacific Resort, Air New Zealand and CITC Liquor who have been with them for a very long time for which they are very appreciative.
Quite a few red dots went up on the paddles which as always look absolutely amazing. The show is on till the end of the Vaka Eiva festival.
