Wedding bells for Carl and Pua Hunter
What a beautiful wedding when Carl Hunter married his beautiful bride, Pua in a ceremony in front of all their family and friends and all the aunties, uncles, cousins and children of Takitumu. Pua looked absolutely radiant in her gorgeous ivory gown and yellow tipani in her hair while the groom looked dashing in his suit as he declared his deep love for his bride.
He then quipped that their children kept asking him when he was going to marry mum and there had better not be any complaints that mum was going to change her surname to Hunter from that day onward.
He paid tribute to the great love of both mothers, Vara Hunter and Ruta Ngamata, which showed in all the preparations leading up to the day and also dedicated the day to his bride’s father Noo Ngamata and brother Te Ina who have both passed away.
MC was Mona Mato whom the groom thanked for his charming personality and brilliant way of handling such events and also to his best man, Kaka Ama and groomsman, Conrad Hunter. Carl also paid tribute to the two lovely bridesmaids, Kimiora Vogel and Julia Tipokoroa who came from NZ especially to be at the nuptials and to Pua’s brother, Taneao who walked her down the aisle to her groom and also to his father, Ross Hunter.
The venue was the spectacular new reception and entertainment village that is a stunning blend of Blue Hawaii and Bali Hai with tropical waterfall and palm trees and lush tropical plants in Muri. Once inside, you suddenly realise that there are several other kikau roof pavilions in the complex, one of which was used for the main reception area for the party, two smaller ones for the children and yet another across the lily pond for the band which entertained the guests throughout the reception.
Everything contributed to the lovely atmosphere where all the guests agreed was one of the most beautiful weddings they had attended anywhere.
Apparently, the wedding was the first ever formal event held at the complex which only recently opened and is owned and operated by Carl’s sister, Moana and her fiancé, Fuji. Congratulations to Carl and Pua Hunter from all your family.
