Joint Ministerial Forum with NZ government in April
The Office of the Prime Minister said preparations for the upcoming Joint Ministerial Forum with the New Zealand Government for 7-8 April are underway.
The three man New Zealand contingent will be led by Minister Murray McCully who will be in talks with Prime Minister, Jim Marurai and all members of Cabinet. The forum will cover such big picture matters as the economy, infrastructure development and social development and other related topics such as the tourism industry which generates more than half the national GDP.
The logistical preparations of venue and the like have led to a flurry of activity by a small team of officials from relevant portfolios as well as from the NZ High Commission with a meeting held on Tuesday 9 March 2010.
