Political whispers

Tangi to regain Tupapa?
There is a possibility the CIP vote in Tupapa may be split if Magee is not selected as CIP’s candidate and stands as an Independent. A split in the CIP camp would allow the Demos John Tangi back in for a second term.
Keu to head MOIP?
A whisperer says Government should be looking no further than Keu Mataroa to head MOIP. Ata Herman’s former deputy has been patiently and quietly waiting in the wings for the call up and the time is right to offer him the post. Proposals recommended by the ADB to restructure MOIP need the guidance skills of a cool head.
Ministers behind staff movements?
Word from the political whisperer is that three staff at BTIB lost their jobs and three new staff were taken on, one of whom was a former prominent member of a former DPM’s staff. And the whisper is that at Culture, five staff were laid off and at least one person whose name will not be revealed, was taken on. The question being asked is whether the Flakey Five are deliberately installing key Demo supporters in key jobs ahead of the election?
Wigmore for PM?
Whisper is DPM Wigmore has aspirations to become PM. This may explain why he is cagey about returning to the Demo paddock. Returning to the Demos would mean giving up his post as DPM. Why would he want to do that?
