Champion lawn bowler inducted into Hall of Fame

Inatio Akaruru C.B.E with his Hall of Fame plaque which was presented to him by CISNOC President Sir Geoffrey Henry in a special ceremony at the Rarotonga Lawnbowls Club on Monday. Inatio was not able to attend the 2009 Sports Awards function which was held at the Aro’a Nui Hall in Arorangi last Tuesday. On that evening Inatio along with Jim Little and Tiki Matapo were inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame. Inatio had a distinguished career in the sport of lawn bowls and his achievements in the sport will hard to emulate. His record is set out opposite.
