HERALD WEEKLY ISSUE 520: 14 July 2010

BOY a huge success

The Aotearoa Society, Rarotonga recently held their Premiere fundraiser of the No 1 selling New Zealand movie BOY.
And it was a huge success with sell out audiences, 200 hangi plates and even minties for the premiere ticket holders.
Boy sure is a great kid- an EGG as he likes to call everyone, and Rocky with his super powers had the audience in stitches.
The Empire Theatre also had a great weekend screening the movie and the foyer, decked out in beautiful NZ flora and fauna was a hit!
The Aotearoa Society is the network and base for all New Zealanders living in the Cooks and the current committee encourages more people to utilize their facility. They also wish to extend the aroha of their Society to hosting whanau and all Manuiri from Aotearoa.
This fundraiser was just the beginning of some new and exciting plans they have for the rest of 2010.
To get in touch with the Society just go to www. aotearoa-rarotonga.com or call John on 55773, or Ngawai 54478
