Ocean dance party celebrates eclipse
The above image of Sunday morning’s solar eclipse came from film footage shot by Australian Michael Robinson who was one of 55 people who viewed the eclipse from Taio Shipping’s vessel which was chartered for the purpose. Those aboard were members of the music industry in Australia and while at sea they held a dance party on deck. Not a good sailor and suffering from sea sickness, Robinson shot the footage through the porthole of his cabin. The sighting was made 25 miles to the south of Rarotonga. Robinson told the Herald most of those present will probably re-convene in Cairns Australia in 2012 when the next solar eclipse occurs.
