Open mic at Cocoputt

Even the drizzling and sometimes pelting rain could not let stalwarts and newcomers to ‘Open Mic’ night at Coco Putt down West keep them from rocking the night away. You had the usual regulars like Doug who got the audience chanting and stomping to his harmonicon performance and the father, mother and daughter team who sang away to New Zealand hits which got the crowd swaying and singing along to the lyrics. It was much more encouraging when you as a first timer would be applauded for whatever gig you’d come up at the spur of the moment. The night picked up later on when the skies opened to many stars and things just got swinging until Tok and crew of Coco Putt just had to join in and swing along to the sounds of blues music and the strumming of the guitar.
