Class of ’64 to congregate in Mangaia

A Class of ’64 is congregating in Mangaia this weekend for a re-union. The former students of Mangaia College, born during 1964, have decided on a get-together to touch base with everyone and ‘socialize’ to recall those good old school times and also, find out where everyone is and what they are doing these days while in their mid forties. Seen here is the local lot from Rarotonga in a rather awkward uniform while those in proper attire are from Sydney Australia under the leadership of Georgina Madison nee Matepi. The actual class re-union is this weekend and Babe’s Guest House has been booked for the three day occasion. Students have also travelled from New Zealand and Melbourne Australia. On arrival in Rarotonga last Sunday, the 20 member Sydney team was hosted by their Rarotonga counterparts and families, and stayed with Junior Areai in Arorangi.
