Ambassadors for God

On Sunday 15 August the youth around Rarotonga from the Cook Islands Christian churches get to travel to other CICC churches. This special programme in the Cook Islands Christian Church religion is for the young people in the church itself or opens to all youth within each village. It alternates with the Sunday school children and this programme is held once or twice annually.
On this particular Sunday, the Vaimaanga youth from Titikaveka Cook Islands Christian church got to travel to the neighbouring church of Ngatangiia to share through memory verses and songs, messages from the bible. Vaimaanga’s main theme for Sunday’s services was based on the Kingdom of God. They were also given the responsibility to host the morning and afternoon service.
After each service – the Turangi district played hosts to feeding lunch, dinner as well as farewell the Vaimaanga youth with lolly and flowered ei’s towards the end of the day.
A comment made by a member of the Ngatangiia church was heard saying, the singing of traditional hymns – ‘imene tuki’ by the visiting youth team gave him the chills, meaning he felt power and was touched.
