Miss South Pacific returns home

The newly crowned Miss South Pacific 2005 Dorothea George returns home on Sunday morning on the 2.55am flight. She will be welcomed with a turou which is being organised by her dance group and the Miss Cook Islands Pageant Association (MCIPA).
Dorothea and her contingent departed Tonga on Friday (Cook Islands time) spending a much-deserved day of shopping in Auckland before returning home.
MCIPA committee members who have been involved in the fundraising and preparation of Dorothea are ecstatic. They had been following the event closely and staying in touch with the team in Tonga.
“We are so happy and delighted for Dorothea’s achievement,” says ex-president of the MCIPA, Tatiana Burns.
“We would like to thank the public of the Cook Islands for their tremendous support of Dorothea and MCIPA. We appreciate the hard work been put in by the chaperones who accompanied Dorothea. And we would like to thank ANZ who put in so much effort for her, as well as her family who made Dorothea the person she is. But at the end of the day it was Dorothea who made it all happen and we are so thrilled for her.”
The competition was held in Nukualofa, Tonga on our Thursday evening. There were seven contestants.
The first runner-up was Miss Tonga, Nancy Maloni; second runner-up was Miss Samoa, Falute Va'auli; third runner-up Miss New Caledonia, Edweena Talatini; and the 4th runner-up Miss American Samoa, Faith Toilolo.

Miss Personality - Miss New Caledonia
