A night of entertainment for Japan

On Saturday 21 May, the Staircase Restaurant is to hold a Japan Night Earthquake Appeal for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Organising the event are Sisi Short of the Staircase Restaurant, Nikki Rattle from the Red Cross, Ian Karika, Shannon Howarth of the Staircase, Kana Daniel from Japan and Nana Hirata also from Japan who is with Island Hopper.
There will be three hours of entertainment from various entertainers such as groups from the Samoan, Fijian, Filipino communities as well as the Staircase’s own dance troupe and Mann Short.
Throughout the evening there will be spot prizes, raffles and an auction. All proceeds from the auction and the raffle will go towards the appeal.
It will cost $7 to enter with the evening kicking off at 6pm and meals being available from 6.30pm. Tickets will go on sale this week outside banks and will be on sale at the Punanga Nui market on Saturday morning.
Clients may come dressed in Japanese style and the best will win a prize.
