The Other Side of Paradise
Talented group “The Other Side of Paradise” stopped by the Cook Islands Herald on Tuesday to give us a sneak preview of their much anticipated performance this Friday.
The five man band which consists of partners Teuira Williams and Puasau Samuels on lead vocals, Tom Peau singing soprano and two other members, still in New Zealand, who provide vocals and ukarere backing. The band with a distinct island style and sound are focusing on introducing a more modern papaa sound says The Other Side of Paradise lead vocalist Williams, and encourage youth to learn the old songs from their Tupuna.
Although here for a holiday the band members are preparing themselves for their nearing New Zealand return in which they will perform at the 2000 plus strong crowd at this year’s Summer Jams.
