RSA hosts one day 2009 Pulse Pool Tournament

Through Ray Garnett Exports of Auckland, Pulse drinks brand is sponsoring a pool competition this Saturday afternoon hosted by the Cook Islands RSA in Nikao. According to Bar Manageress Mata Rani; the purpose of this competition is to stimulate the interest of pool game amongst those individual that plays the sport in a competitive manner.
The competition which kicks off at 2.00pm is for mix doubles and the best out of singles ladies and men. Ray Garnett of Ray Garnett Exports is providing sponsorship of trophies for the overall winner, cash prizes plus Pulse products as consolation such as key rings, cues for the pool table, t’shirts and sunglasses.
The response has been overwhelming according to Mata and it shows the interest of pool enthusiasts on the island and you never know; we might one day formalize this as a national competitive sport and form our own association.
Local Companies have also responded to the RSA request to provide assistance in terms of sponsorship to this one day event; the like of Manea Foods with $50.00 food voucher, Vonnias Warehouse with $50.00 worth of garden tools, the Computerman for providing an overhead projector to post the draws of the game and scores, liquor outlets SAVA and CITC Liquor for cash donation to assist with advertising. It is only fair according to Mata that these sponsors are mentioned in their media campaign as they promote the 2009 Pulse Pool Tournament.
