National Council of Women move to Tauae
Cook Islands National Council of Women have moved from their former premises at Mootangi Lodges in O’oa and are now ensconced in their new headquarters in Tauae located on the Ara Metua in Takuvaine.
CINCW is the national umbrella for all the women’s groups in the Cook Islands and receive their core funding from NZAID which provides for the national administration and their operational costs.
Their work has now expanded in scope and funding for another desk has been granted from the Secretariat of Pacific Community for working on strategies and plans to combat the spread of STDs and HIV.
The NCW premises are located on the corner of the little connection road up from the OPM or OMIA if you are coming from Parekura, but the sign is outside for all to see..
The NCW phone number is still 29418 and the office will be manned by Rongo File (national administrator) and Polly Tongia (coordinator).
