Lack of action concerns ADB

It is unusual for the Asia Development Bank (ADB) to be critical of government for lack of attention in progressing earlier ADB recommendations but this writer senses the bank is expressing in its latest report, albeit it in a subtle manner, its frustration.
The bank’s Infrastructure Services Delivery Improvement report dated 22 February 2010 follows an analysis of the current situation in the Cook Islands.
The report pulls no punches in its review of several State agencies and Business Units. For this reason, government may be reluctant to release the full 51 page report and may consider releasing a sanitized version.
