Management team for Samoa 2007 Games announced
On Friday, the Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee (CISNOC) CEO Bim Tou announced the full management team for the 2007 Pacific Games to be held in Apia Samoa from 25th August to 8th September 2007
The management team was approved at a special CISNOC Board Meeting held on the 17th of August. The team is;
Chef de Mission- Paul Allsworth
General Team Manager
- George George
Assistant General Team Manager – Maara Kenning
Administration Officer – Robert Graham
The Times understands some concern was raised at the appointment of Allsworth as Chef de Mission following the fallout from the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. It would appear he is either getting a second chance or being groomed for the Olympics at Beijing in 2008.
In terms of the Pacific Games Charter; the CISNOC board also submitted Team Cook Islands numerical registration comprising 15 sports to compete at the Games.
