School’s in for environment

The Te Ipukarea Society held a Youth Environment Forum on Thursday and Friday for geography and science students from Rarotonga schools.
Ewan Cameron, the organiser, said he hopes the forum at the Pukapuka hostel might inspire young people to become proactive in the environmental arena.
Many of the speakers were young people already working in the environmental field, both in public and private sectors.
They spoke on their work and issues they feel are important for today’s society.
Cameron hopes to form a membership from young people who will help work on many environmental issues.
