Trader Jack praised for support
By Shona Pitt

Top pass Rosa

Rosa Tauia was ecstatic when she received her exam results for her Diploma of Tourism (marketing and product development). She had passed with distinction, which is the highest possible result.
Rosa was the third student from the Cook Islands to attend the Canberra Institute of Technology under the partnership programme with the Cook Islands Hospitality Centre.
TUTORS
She spent five months earlier in the year attending the Institute and is now employed at Trader Jack’s restaurant and bar as a co-manager along with Myra Tatakura. Rosa said that studying for her diploma was a good challenge and a good experience.
“They have all the latest technology there so there aren’t any problems when accessing information, plus the tutors were very helpful.”
She said that she would also like to acknowledge all the support that she received from her family and friends.
Plus thanks the Cook Islands Hospitality Training Centre and the Canberra Institute for giving her the opportunity to further and advance her education.
A very special thank you goes out to Jack Cooper as she said he gave her encouragement and support to achieve her goal.
Four students from the Canberra institute are currently here in Rarotonga training under the Hospitality/Tourism programme.
