For Willie and Pops

Selina Patia launches her new CD

Selina Patia’s new music CD, her first, is entitled “Aroa Nei Au” and features 14 tracks. It took two weeks to put together in Auckland.
The plan was to launch it at the Pasifika festival in Auckland in March next year but as she was coming to Rarotonga, it was decided to launch it at the Punanga Nui Market this Saturday at 9.30am.
A limited number of CDs will be on sale for $20 and if people want one they can contact her on ph 29 109 or by e-mail selinav@hotmail.com
The CD is a mix of islands style and reggae music. Selina and Pat Williams did the musical arrangements and it was recorded at Nikari Studio. The CD’s cover was designed by Thomas Peyroux.
Two tracks are her own composition. She plays uke, keyboards and guitar.
Selina who is based in Auckland, plans to return next year. She leaves at the end of December. In the meantime there is a band album to launch with pat Williams and Hamish Andrews.
Her CD is dedicated to Uncle Willie and Pops.
