Ministers on the move
The new Ministers appointed by Prime Minister Hon Jim Marurai on 24 December 2009 are to move into their new offices on 12 January 2010, the previous Ministers having 10 working days to clear out.
Hon William (Smiley) Heather Jnr is to move into the office formerly occupied by Hon Ngamau Munokoa located next to the Golf Club in Nikao. It is not known who will be his support office CEO.
Hon Wilkie Rasmussen is to move into the office formerly occupied by Hon Tangata Vavia located next to the Courthouse and Ministry of Justice building in Avarua. It is not known who will be his support office CEO.
Hon Apii Piho is to move into the office formerly occupied by Hon Kete Ioane situated inside the Ministry of Health’s Tupapa Administration building located on the beachside in Tupapa. The Times understands he may retain Ken Buchanan as his support office CEO. Buchanan was Kete’s CEO.
DPM Hon Robert Wigmore is to move into the office formerly occupied by former DPM Sir Terepai Maoate located behind the Banana Court complex. The Times understands former CEO for Maoate, Ratu Mato may be retained but in a new capacity as Wigmore is considering appointing his own CEO.
The upstairs office, of the Ministry for Cultural Development, formerly occupied by Hon Robert Wigmore located behind the National Library Building which is opposite the Tupapa Centre, will be closed. The Times understands the staff from this office are to be re-located to the DPM’s office.
Audit Office will commence their customary inspection prior to the transfers taking place.
