Education building delayed

Finance Minister Hon Wilkie Rasmussen confirmed on Friday morning that the money appropriated by parliament to build the new Ministry of Education building in Tereora is still available.
The Minister said he discussed the matter with the Prime Minister about a month ago and then asked MFEM to confirm availability of funds.
The Minister said the hold up has been because CIIC have been busy on other projects.
The building which will cost around $1 million is funded by Chinese money. He hopes the building contract will be undertaken by local companies.
