Numa into hot seat
On Thursday afternoon the Public Service Commissioner appointed Donye Numa to take over the reins of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Planning while the process to find a new boss to head the department is sorted out. Staff were informed on Friday morning of Numa’s appointment. She has been with Infrastructure since last August, after completing a contract with the Office of the Prime Minister. And now that an Acting Boss has been put in place, the first tough job that Numa now has to face is gathering information on how the department has operated over the past several months, under the former Secretary Otheniel Tangianau.
