Fundraiser for Japan
Don’t forget, the Staircase Restaurant’s Japan Night Earthquake Appeal for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan, is all set to go Saturday.
Get along and support this worthwhile event which has been organized by Sisi Short of the Staircase Restaurant, Nikki Rattle from the Red Cross, Ian Karika, Shannon Howarth of the Staircase, Kana Daniel from Japan and Nana Hirata also from Japan who is with Island Hopper.
The $7 entrance fee will present you with three hours of pulsating entertainment from various entertainers and groups from the Samoan, Fijian, Filipino communities as well as the Staircase’s own dance troupe and Mann Short.
Throughout the evening patrons can look forward to spot prizes, raffles and an auction. All proceeds from the auction and the raffle will go towards the appeal.
The festivities kick off at 6pm with, meals being available from 6.30pm.
Come dressed Japanese style, after all, it’s all in aid of Japan and you may win a prize.
Helping to sponsor what looks to be a great evening, are Island Hopper, Crown Beach, Budget Rentals, Polynesian Bike Hire, Mooring Café, CITV and Rarotonga Printing.

New Board members appointed to BCI
The new Board members of the Bank of Cook Islands Board will attend their first meeting next week. They are, Kairangi Samuela, Jennifer Henry and Jeane Matenga. The full Board is;

Vaine Arioka (Bank Manager)
One position is vacant but this may go to the Secretary of Finance when that position is filled.
