Rock Fest by LEAF
On Friday evening the 16th of December, the National Auditorium will be rocking to the sounds and voices of over 21 New Zealand and Australian singers.
Among the artists performing that night for the first “Cook Islands on the Rock Fest Concert “ will be; from New Zealand- J Williams, Vince Harder, Dj Reminise and from Australia-Talia, Brandon P, Big Cash.
The Times spoke with organizer Ashley Wichman on Wednesday afternoon about the event.
She said the concert is being held as a fundraising event in “In aid of a Youth Home” which is a LEAF [ Lend a hand Foundation- a non funding organization] project. The tickets are on sale right now at $35 for adults and $25 for students. The doors open at 5pm and show starts at 6pm.
Ashley warns that the night will be a very fun and exciting one with many surprises but the public would need to buy the tickets to find out. All the LEAF members have tickets for sale. The number of tickets is very limited and bookings should be made at an early stage as there are a lot of overseas people who have already booked theirs for when they come down in December for a holiday.
“We are fundraising for the youth homes the plan being to set up one in each village around the island, starting with Arorangi,” said Ashley.
Ashley can be contacted on ph 71 733 for further information or contact Miriama on ph 77 937.
