Whereas, I, Makea Joseph Vakatini Ariki, do hereby proclaim and declare that:
1. Ruatapu Tukarawa (also known as Ruatapu Bruce Mita) has of this 17th day of June 2008, been appointed by me, Makea Joseph Vakatini Ariki as my Personal Advisor; and
a) as an Advisor to the Council of the Hereditary Kings and Queens (Ui Ariki) of the Cook Islands.
2. Ruatapu Tukarawa’s Apapapaanga on his:
a) Father’s father’s line shows that he is a direct descendant of the Tainui Vaka going all the way back to Kahiko who was the father of Wakea,; and of Te Tumu; and of Atea; and of Rangi; and from those Ai-Tupuna, he ties to Joseph who was sold into Egypt, and from there all the way back to Adam and Eve, and on his
b) Father’s Mother’s side shows that Ruatapu is a direct descendant of Hako of Ngati Hako in Aotearea, their Vaka being Tohora. His Ai-Tupuna Hako, is also known as Hawaii-loa or Hakota or Akata, or Hagoth, and on his
c) Mother’s line, it shows that he is a direct descendant of the Takitumu Vaka. Tamatea who guided the Takitumu to Aotearoa disembarked in Tauranga Moana. Ruatapu’s mother was born in Te Puna in Tauranga Moana.
Now therefore, let it be known, that Ruatapu Tukarawa, also known as Ruatapu Bruce Mita can also claim to be a Cook Islander by way of his Akapapaanga and his cultural and family heritage. In April 1971, Ruatapu married Una Irene Tekura Benioni in Tokoroa, Aotearoa. Born in Arorangi, Una is the youngest daughter of Tama Pkikaa Benioni and VaeVae-Motu-i-te-Paa Aratangi Motu-Ariki.
Ruatapu Tukarawa shall not be deported from Rarotonga, Cook Islands. He is not a foreigner, he is one of our own. He is the Teina that has been sent by the Lord to convey truth, to enlighten, to inspire and to edify the Tuakana, Te Ui Ariki Ngateitei o te Kuki Airani, and to free our people from bondage.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand on this 27th Day of June in the Year of our Lord, 2008.
