CISNOC gets set for Samoa
Preparations are underway in Rarotonga for the 2007 South Pacific Games in Samoa, which open a year from now.
Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee (CISNOC) chief executive Bim Tou, said meetings have been held preparing the criteria of qualifying for the games.
Tou said there is a lot of hard groundwork ahead of them. Starting preparations early will enable the various sports to prepare and have a good understanding of what is required, he said.
Fundraising should begin once the sports taking part are finalised and officials nominated.
The official opening of the Games is on August 25th 2007.
Cook Islands will host the games after this, the 2009 Mini South Pacific Games.
