The Cook Islands Fiji Community have done it again. They scooped both International prizes at the Food Festival on Thursday evening.
Held at Te Atukura grounds, the festival - organised by the Cook Islands Tourism Corporation - was a success.
Visitors and locals alike enjoyed the pleasant evening and were kept entertained by a variety of guest artists. Once again stalls sold out of food early, with one stall sold out by 6pm.
Host for the evening Papatua Papatua announced several times that he had asked stall holders to make sure they had plenty of food and to expect a large turnout.
Uniformed Tourism Corporation staff kept a close eye on the proceedings and was on hand to assist anyone with their enquiries.
Entertainment was provided by the Rave Pitomaki band and performers were Miss South Pacific Krystina Kauvai, the Mangaian troop, and the Rarotonga league boys.
Tourism Corporation marketing manager Glenda Tuaine presented the prizes as follows;
Best International stall and best decorated stall: Fiji community.
Best local stall: Ngati Raina.
Best local decorated stall: Raro Shaved Ice.
