Letter to the Editor: Embrace our future with the truth
Dear Editor - Firstly, my advice to Tata Crocombe, Mata Nooroa and other investors trying to get POKOINU 107, you are wasting your time and money – it’s going to be another Sheraton project – BECAUSE YOU ARE DEALING WITH THE WRONG LANDOWNERS.
Like I keep saying before, the lands have meaning, LOOK FOR THE SIGNS ON THE LAND – it’s so obvious, and if you people do not understand what I mean – ask Ewan Ngaata – he should know what I am trying to state – and it is all FACT/TRUTH what I’m trying to convey.
That is why you people don’t care because you do not own it. You think you can sell it for money, but be careful, the Land has a mouth. Lucky if you will eat that money.
Look what is happening to the Vaima’anga project, is the so called Queen Pa comfortably eating that money, NO, why?
Secondly, how sad to know that some of my family members are trying to access our ancestors’ lands, not for planting, nor for a house site but to lease out to foreign investors.
Are you people not enough with the lands you have already sold, which your money means nothing now – eaa, kua puta te pute? You will never get rich on those lands. One day you will realise, hopefully it is not too late
Finally but not least, to the government of the Cook Islands, I would like to humbly ask, to release the File 428. I know you people know what I am trying to say. I have asked this before for the Queen’s Representative to release it .
This is my beg to the Democratic Party today, to the Hon Prime Minister, Jim Marurai, let the truth out.
Who is pulling your strings? Another lot of European trying to take over the whole of the Cook Islands like the missionaries did, how gullible you people can be. That is exactly what happened to the others before.
The late Premier Albert Henry instructed Mr J MacCauley to destroy all the files from 428 – but did not realise that copies were made.
However, again, Hon. Prime Minister – if you and your colleague, Mr Makiuti Tongia, are truthful and honest men, expose the truth. The following is a lament to all you people::
“E Ina e, E Ina-oro-ake-ki te-Ata. Tairi’ia to rouru, kia poiri te mata, kia pirikoki ratou. No te mea, kua ngere I te kite te ruperupe o te enua. Tapoki’ia to enua, kare oki ratou e inangaro ana.”
