Permanent Residency ceremony in Mangaia
It was a joyous and memorable day for Mangaia on Thursday 6th November. A ceremony was held for the six Permanant Residency recipients who reside on the beautiful island. Anthony Whyte, Patricia Marsters, Jennifer Tuara, Elizabeth Papatua (pictured to the right), Marilyn Nooroa and Raymond Owen (centre top row) were each presented with their Permanent Residency Certificates by the Prime Minister, Hon. Jim Marurai after reading an oath to the Queen’s Representative, His Excellency Sir Frederick Goodwin. Congratulations to the new Permanent Residents, you are now true Mangaians.
